Records Online
Records Online provides University staff with a number of tools to manage records relating to Students, Staff and Administrative matters. These tools include:
Records Online Web Site
The Records Online web site allows University staff to access the Records Online database. It includes the provision for staff to:
- Search for records
- View electronic documents
- Submit a request for access to a hardcopy record
- Browse the record classification scheme.
TRIM Desktop
TRIM Desktop allows University staff to access the Records Online database. It allows staff to:
- Search for records
- View electronic documents
- Navigate to related records
- Record the location of hardcopy records
- Submit a request for access to a hardcopy record
- Capture and modify electronic documents
- Register administrative records
- Produce reports and file labels
TRIM Context
TRIM Context includes all the functionality required by recordkeeping staff to manage University records.
TRIM Desktop and TRIM Context are delivered to Windows and Macintosh computers using Citrix.
Records Online includes an interface to FlexSIS which:
- Captures various correspondence generated by FlexSIS
- Creates a student file registration for each new student or applicant.
During 2005 Records Online will deliver increased functionality to assist staff with management of electronic documents including e-mail.

AIMS
Aims is the official alumni and donation/bequest database of the University of Sydney. Access to this system is provided through the Citrix secure terminal servers.
