Research Information Management System (RIMS)
The Research Information Management System (RIMS) supports pre-award and post-award grants management processes. Research Administrators use RIMS to track proposals from the time they are submitted to the Research Office, to award notification and on to research project completion.
RIMS is the information system component of the Research Management Program. The Program is delivering research management and administration capabilities to the University through progressive improvements over a three year period from 2008 to 2010.
Future releases of RIMS will support the management of HERDC publication collection and research quality assessments such as the Excellence in Research for Australia (ERA) initiative. Further on the Program will also integrate ethics and biosafety clearance processes.
