Email and Calendaring

Central IT run a mail server for all staff members with a UniKey account. This mail server can be accessed via an email client (setup guides) or via the University WWW mail service.

A number of Departments run their own mail servers, or use the UniKey server to provide their departmental mail. If your departmental mail is run through the UniKey email server then you can follow our setup guides to setup your mail client and use the WWW mail service.

You can check whether your email address is run through the UniKey server by visiting the WWW mail service and attempting to login (remember to use just your Username not your full email address as your Login name).

If your email address is not run through the UniKey server you should contact your local CSO or helpdesk for information about how to setup and view your email.

Central IT runs the MCS server, a Microsoft Exchange server which offers email and calendaring services. For further assistance in setting up an MCS Exchange account in your email client, please have a look at the Exchange setup guides.

MCS Web Access enables users of the MCS service to access their email and calendaring when away from their work computer.
