Ports

Ports are the holes in the wall the phone lines or computer network cables are plugged into. If there are none available in the location you require one can be installed, you will be charged for parts and labour.

Sometimes a port is not connected to a line (the cable in the wall that plugs into the rest of the network) and so a line must be installed.
You can either have analogue or digital lines. ICT does not charge University of Sydney departments for the installation or management of these services.
