Microsoft SELECT Agreement 2006 - 2008
The SELECT license program allows eligible education customers to license Microsoft products at discount pricing based on the volume of their license purchases. Licenses issued under this agreement are perpetual licenses.
"Products licensed under this agreement may be used only by and for the benefit of the University. Licenses obtained under this agreement may not be transferred, sublicensed, rented, leased or loaned to any person or entity that is not affiliated with the University".
Software
Microsoft products (and current prices) for workstations and servers available under this agreement are listed on the MicrosoftSoftware pages of this website (available via quick links to the right).
Who can use the software:
- Staff of the University
- Students of the University and approved affiliates in labs and teaching facilities on campus only.
- Staff employed by independent campus and student entities, where the principal function of the entity is to support the life and culture of the university or student life associated with the university.
- Visiting Professors,Fellows or other academic researchers, scholars, teachers, consultants and contractors working at the university or approved affiliates.
Note: Under no circumstances can the software be installed on a machine owned by a student or other organisation eg.hospital.
Work at Home
No desktop applications purchased under this agreement can be installed on home machines owned or leased by the staff member.
