How to Register the ICA MIME Type for Microsoft Internet Explorer by using the ICA Client for Macintosh

Perform the following steps:

1. Open Internet Explorer.

2. On the Edit menu, choose Preferences.

3. Under Receiving Files, click File Helpers.

4. Click the Add button.

5. Enter the following information:
Description: Citrix ICA Connection
Extension: .asp
MIME Type: application/x-ica

6. Under File Type, click the Browse button and browse the Mac hard drive for the "Citrix ICA Client" binary.

7. Under File Creator, you may have to change ICAE to IICA.

8. From the drop-down list, change the File Type to TEXT.

9. In the Encoding section, make sure that the Plain Text radio button is selected.

10.Make sure that:
The Macintosh file is unchecked.
Use for incoming is checked.
Use for outgoing is unchecked.

11.Under Handling, select View with application from the drop-down list.

12.Browse for the "Citrix ICA Client" binary if it did not come up.

13.Click OK twice and close Internet Explorer for the changes to take effect.
