Configuring your Proxy settings

• Internet Explorer 6
• Netscape 7 & Mozilla 1.7

In Internet Explorer, go to Tools and then Internet Options

Click on the Connections tab

Click on LAN Settings under the Local Area Network [LAN] settings heading

Tick Use Automatic Configuration Script and enter: http://www.usyd.edu.au/proxy.pac

In Netscape/Mozilla, go to Edit and then Preferences

Scroll down to the Advanced option, and select Proxies
Under Automatic Proxy Configuration URL, enter: http://www.usyd.edu.au/proxy.pac

In Netscape, go to Netscape and then Preferences

Scroll down to the Advanced option, and select Proxies
Under Automatic Proxy Configuration URL, enter: http://www.usyd.edu.au/proxy.pac

In Opera, go to Tools and Preferences

Choose the Network Option toward the bottom of the Preferences menu
Click on the Proxy Servers button on the right

Under Use Automatic Proxy Configuration, enter: http://www.usyd.edu.au/proxy.pac

In Firefox, go to Tools and Options

Under General, choose the Connection Settings button

Under Automatic Proxy Configuration URL, enter: http://www.usyd.edu.au/proxy.pac

Under the Apple menu, select System Preferences

Select Network
Choose the Built in Ethernet option
Select the Proxies tab

Under FTP Proxy, Web Proxy and Secure Web Proxy under the address fields on the right enter: www-cache.usyd.edu.au and 8080
In the Bypass field, enter *usyd.edu.au

In Internet Explorer, go to Explorer and Preferences

Under Network, select the Proxies option

Under Web Proxy and Secure Web Proxy enter: www-cache.usyd.edu.au : 8080
In the Bypass field, enter *usyd.edu.au

In Netscape, go to Edit and then Preferences
Scroll down to the Advanced option, and select Proxies
Under Automatic Proxy Configuration URL, enter: http://www.usyd.edu.au/proxy.pac
