Your UniKey Account
The University provides a number of electronic facilities to all University of Sydney students. The account you use to access them is called your "UniKey" account. Most systems which are only available to University of Sydney students (such as MyUni or the Access Labs computers) will ask you for this login to confirm that you are a student here. Your UniKey account is generally created after your enrolment is processed and is included on most students' confirmation of enrolment letter.
Your faculty may provide you with a different account to access Faculty-specific material (the Faculty of Economic's Blackboard system is a good example of this type of system). These accounts aren't linked to your UniKey account and are dealt with by the Faculties directly.
Your UniKey account also gives you access to a large number of optional services (such as having the University host your personal website for you). Most of these services have costs associated with them. You can also use your UniKey account to pay library fines online, or purchase student notes from the copy centre.
Tip:
If you’ve lost your Username and Password just pop in to an Access Lab (bring some visual ID). If you can’t get to one then contact the Helpdesk and they can post one out to you.
